A fairly common problem that can arise after breast augmentation is known as capsular contracture. This issue involves a hardening of the breast where the implant is present, and Dr. Hovsepian has performed capsular contracture correction for a number of satisfied patients.
How Does the Treatment Work?
In most cases, a capsular contracture correction procedure involves removing the contracted scar capsule, which releases its tightened hold over the implant. This allows your body to form a new, corrected tissue capsule. Sometimes pocket relocation will be performed in conjunction with the procedure, to prevent further complications.
During your consultation, Dr. Hovsepian will walk you through the full and complete details of your procedure, going over everything from the techniques he’ll employ, to your aftercare instructions and what you can expect during your recovery procedure. Our goal is to ensure that you feel safe and comfortable, every step of the way.
