Dr. Raffi Hovsepian, Beverly Hills and Los Angeles plastic surgeon, has been welcomed as a member of the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS). One of only 243 US-based members of ISAPS, Dr. Hovsepian shares in the Society's knowledge and experience, and with his colleagues he holds himself to the highest standards of ethics and performance.
To qualify for membership in ISAPS, plastic surgeons must undergo many years of surgical specialty training, pass qualifying and certifying examinations in their respective countries, and they must be members in good standing in their local national societies of plastic and aesthetic surgery.
"I am very pleased and honored to be a member of such an elite group of surgeons, both in the U.S. and internationally," notes Dr. Hovsepian from his Beverly Hills Plastic Surgery office. "My interest in furthering my knowledge and expertise has led me to attain certification from the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS) and the American Board of Surgery (ABS) as well as EBOPRAS, the European Board of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery. I find membership in ISAPS to be a validation of my approach and drive to constantly improve not only my practice but the overall practice of aesthetic plastic surgery."
Members of ISAPS agree to abide by the high ethical standards of their local and national societies. Once the educational, training, certification and ethical requirements have been met, a surgeon may apply for membership in ISAPS.
In the process of being evaluated for membership, a doctor undergoes a rigorous evaluation process to establish his or her qualifications, capabilities, and commitment to the highest standards of ethics and patient safety.
"ISAPS is more than an honor," says Dr. Hovsepian. "Being a member of this society is surrounding oneself with other highly skilled men and women who also approach Aesthetic Plastic Surgery with constant innovation and effort. So rather than just being an honor, it's a challenge to find a way to raise your standards even higher."
Dr. Hovsepian holds membership in other professional societies including the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) and The International Confederation for Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery (IPRAS). His ABS, ABPS and EBOPRAS certifications make him Triple Board Certified as a surgeon.
In addition to attaining these three distinguished board certifications, he has been indoctrinated into American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), an accomplishment achieved by only a handful of surgeons.
