Dr. Hovsepian works closely with several aftercare providers who offer twenty-four hour assistance. These services are frequently utilized by his patients having facelifts, breast augmentation, rhinoplasty, body contouring and other procedures. At any of the recommended recovery centers, you will be attended to by licensed medical professionals specifically trained to care for post-surgical patients, who are under the supervision of a physician. There are also private recovery facility in Beverly Hills (Los Angeles County) that can be used for extended stays. All of these details can be worked out by our Aesthetic Coordinator to ensure a safe and successful recovery experience.

An Aesthetic Coordinator will take care of all of the details associated with your stay in the aftercare facility, such as arranging for transportation to and from our office for post-operative visits following your surgery. The coordinator will also work closely with Dr. Hovsepian's nurses to assure your post-surgical care is given with constant vigilance. Additionally, Dr. Hovsepian routinely visits his patients while they are recovering in aftercare facilities to ensure the comfort of his patients and the optimization of their overall surgical results.

If Dr. Hovsepian recommends a stay in an aftercare facility, it will be for an average of 1-2 nights. While some guests choose to spend additional time, often hotel facilities are in proximity and the transfer to a less “monitored” room may be appropriate – room service and transportation would then be available to you through the hotel. Upon request, most retreats are pleased to schedule an appointment for you to see their facility prior to making your reservation.

How long will my recovery take?

Each individual and procedure is unique. Dr. Hovsepian will discuss your recovery with you in detail during your consultation, including how long your recovery will take.

Who will care for me during my recovery?

If you are able to recover at home, you will be discharged with a responsible adult. You may also elect to have a private nurse care for you at home. At any of the recommended recovery centers, you will be cared for by licensed professionals specifically trained to care for surgical patients.

When will I see Dr. Hovsepian again after my surgery?

You will see Dr. Hovsepian before you are released for your post-surgical care, whether your recovery will be at home or in a recovery center. When you are released a member of Dr. Hovsepian’s staff will fully explain the time and purpose of your next visit. In the evening after your procedure, Dr. Hovsepian or his aesthetic team will call or visit you to evaluate your progress and recovery.
